FW03 marked one of Dsquared2’s most iconic early runway seasons, heavily inspired by rugged outdoor aesthetics, Canadian heritage, and military influences. This coat is a perfect example of that era, combining a structured parka silhouette with a bold shearling-trapper design language.
The piece features a heavy-duty cotton outer shell contrasted with faux shearling lining and leather panel detailing around the neck and closures. The toggle fastening system, waist adjusters, and oversized construction give it a functional yet exaggerated runway feel.
What makes this coat especially unique is the early use of faux shearling in a luxury context, something rarely seen at the time, executed here with impressive quality and texture.
The fit is intentionally oversized, allowing it to be worn up to XL despite the tagged size 46.
